Trixie Bet
A trixie bet is a bet that is a total of 4 bets that involves three selections in different events. The bet consists of 3 doubles and 1 treble bet. In order to get a return at least 2 or the 4 bets must be successful.
An example of a trixie bet is as follows:
100 pounds bet (25 per bet)
Match 1: A vs B; A at odds of 2
Match 2: C vs D; match drawn at odds of 3.3
Match 3: E vs F; E at odds of 2.2
Outcome 1: None or only 1 bet is successful — entire bet is lost
Outcome 2: Two bets are correct — winning double combination
Profit = total stake / 4 * ((match 1 odds * match 3 odds) – 1) – (total stake / 4 * 3)
Profit = 25 * ((2 * 2.2) – 1) – 75 = 10 pounds
Outcome 3: All bets are correct — winning three double combinations and treble combination
Profit = total stake / 4 * ((match 1 odds * match 2 odds * match 3 odds) – 1) + total stake / 4 * ((match 1 odds * match 2 odds) – 1)
+ total stake / 4 * ((match 1 odds * match 3 odds) – 1)
+ total stake / 4 * ((match 2 odds * match 3 odds) – 1)
Profit = 25 * 13.52 + 25 * 5.6 + 25 * 3.4 + 25 * 6.26 = 719.5 pounds
